TOOTH PASTE FOR ADULTS

Depending on your age and the needs that your dental health requires, it is necessary to choose a suitable toothpaste. Because it is not the same to enjoy good oral health as to suffer dental sensitivity. Whatever toothpaste you use daily should contain fluoride and calcium to remineralize and strengthen the enamel, remove plaque and prevent tooth decay. It is essential that our toothpaste contains an amount of fluorine greater than 1,000 particles per million (ppm).

TOOTH PASTE FOR DENTAL SENSITIVITY

Dental sensitivity occurs when the enamel of our teeth is wearing off, and as such, we need to use tooth paste which substances seal the pores having appeared on the protective layer of our teeth.
Do not forget that dental sensitivity is an indication that there is a problem and that it is necessary to get the help of a professional.

TOOTH PASTE FOR CHILDREN

When having to choose a tooth paste for the youngest ones in the home it is important to consider its concentration of fluoride to minimize the risk of fluorosis and fluoride intoxication.
According to the recommendations of the SEOP (Sociedad Española de Odontología Pediátrica) (Spanish Society for Pediatric Odontology) for using tooth paste for children between 6 months and 2 years of age, the tooth paste cannot be over 500 ppm of fluoride and the amount used the size of a pea.
After their 6th birthday, it is advisable for a tooth paste to have 1.450 ppm of fluoride and the amount from 1 to 1 cm, twice a day.
